Zach Archuleta (Host)
Zach is really excited to be part ARTE with the Merry Wives Cast. He
has been doing theatre for many years now and has loved every minute
of it. Some of his favorite roles include John "Baby with the
Bathwater", H.C Curry "Rainmaker", Title Role "Peter Pan", Biondello
"Taming of the Shrew", and Macduff "Macbeth". Zach is a Theatre Arts
Studies Major at BYU and plans to go on to medical school after
college.

Adam Argyle (Master Ford)

Drew Baker (Fenton/Castle Player)
Drew has recently played Tranio in The Taming of the Shrew and Ray-Bud in Dearly Departed. He is going to be a senior at American Fork High School. His two main interests are video/film, and film acting. This is his first show at the Castle, and he has really enjoyed being here. |

Cherish Caldwell (Castle Player)
Cherish has appreciated this time to work with this special cast and crew. Cherish loves her work and is the Theater Teacher for the wonderful students at Meridian School as well as Liahona School. Cherish is also an avid perfomer and has been seen on many stages in Utah. Cherish will be graduating with a degree in Theater Arts Studies from Brigham Young University where she was recently seen portraying the role of Bagheera the Panther in the production of The Jungle Book.

Dan Carter (Bardolph)
Dan is happy to be in this play. One of his favorite roles was as the Rug in Beauty and the Beast at American Fork High School. He enjoys free running, Capoiera, and is very excited to perform for all who are reading this and watching the show. |

Amanda Shutz Clayton (Mistress Quickly)
Amanda is from Tennessee and has a BFA in acting from BYU. Her ARTE credits include rolls in Sweeney Todd and The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare Abridged. Some of her favorite roles have been in Angels Unaware, Caucasian Chalk Circle, Bus Stop, Papa Married a Mormon, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Archipelago, The Good Woman of Sezuan, The Crucible, Nunsense, & A Tuna Christmas. She has enjoyed teaching acting and theatre makeup at BYU in the past and currently enjoys spending her days with her son, Dallyn. She wishes to thank her husband for being fabulous. |

Elsa Davis (Anne Page)
Elsa lives for performing. She will be studying theatre in the fall at the University of Utah. Her previous theatre credits include Abigail Williams in The Crucible, Widow in The Taming of the Shrew, and Ensemble in Les Miserables. She hopes you love this show as much as she does. |

Keith Evans (Slender)
Keith is a Junior at BYU studying History. It's an absolute pleasure to be back performing the Bard, the one true threatre. Previous credits include Biondello and Tranio in The Taming of the Shrew at HCTO and BYU, respectively, and Jo Harper in PTC's Big River. |

Barta Heiner (Mistress Page)
Barta Lee Heiner received her B.A. in theatre from Brigham Young University,
and later attended the American Conservatory Theatre where she earned her
Master of Fine Arts in Acting. She later acted professionally with Denver
Centre Theatre and taught acting and directed conservatory projects for the
National Theatre Conservatory in Denver. Eventually Barta was asked to
return to BYU to strenghten the acting program in the Theatre & Media
Department. She also was invited to teach and direct the MFA acting
students in Shaw¹s Major Barbara at the Old Globe/University of San Diego in
2005. She has performed in numerous theatrical and film productions:
Lettice in Lettice and Lovage, Abby Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, the
title role of King Lear and Clara in Brigham City and Mary Whitmer in The
Fourth Witness. Her most recent directing projects have been a modernized
version of Julius Caesar and the BFA senior acting project, The Seagull at
BYU. She was also the acting and dialogue coach for The Testaments of One
Fold and One Shepaherd and a consultant and dialogue coach for Emma Smith,
My Story. She has most recently been involved with a student mentoring
film project called Diantha¹s Crossing. |

Ben Hess (Falstaff)
Utah Valley audiences have seen Ben as a king, a lawyer, two judges, a badger, a misguided doctor, a donkey, a sorcerer, a prisoner of circumstance, an amateur explorer, a deceitful husband, the pope, and an underwear tycoon. He holds a BA in theatre arts studies from BYU, and hopes that one day his wife will let him have a puppy to go with the baby they had last November. |

Joe Johnson (Rugby/Castle Player)
Joe began performing in 2007 in the Theatre 2 Class at Hillcrest High School. Since then his favorite performance as a Peasant/Beast Double in Beauty and the Beast also at Hillcrest. He would like to thank Mr. Long for his wisdom and guidance in the theatre arts, and also Dave Malone as a private tutor. |

Daniel Llara (Nim)
Daniel is a graduate from Hillcrest high School. This is his first show with the Castle. He has participated in his high school Shakespeare Team and a production of Noises Off at Hillcrest High. He is excited to be a part of this production. |

Gene Ledbetter (Caius/Keys)
Gene is totally awesome, he is currently studying acting at BYU and enjoys film, theatre, voice-over, flirtation, extemporaneous speaking & all forms of acting. He was recently voted most eligible bachelor in Provo. He wears a size 15 shoe and loves his mom. |

Josh Long (Master Page)
Joshua Long holds a BA in Theatre Studies from BYU and an MA in
Teaching from Western Oregon. He spends most of his time directing
and choreographing shows for the Sandy Amphitheatre, American Fork
Arts, Alpine Theatre Company, and Hillcrest High School in Midvale
where he is the full-time theatre teacher. Favorite directing credits
include The Lion in Winter, Pippin, Noises Off, A Chorus Line,
Coriolanus & A Midsummer Night's Dream. Josh's most recent role
was Albert Einstein in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile at
the Rose Wagner Center in Salt Lake earlier this summer. However,
before that, his last acting experience was four years ago playing
Lucentio in Barta Heiner's Taming of the Shrew at BYU. Josh is
excited to be back on stage after such a long hiatus and to work with
Neal, Barta, Shaunna, some of his students, and Billy (Shakespeare
that is). |

Karlie McDonald (Castle Player)
Karlie started acting during her Junior year and found a passion for it! Her favorite productions include: Jet Girl West Side Story, Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast, Player in Pippin. Her first serious role was Vivian Bearring in Wit; and Judy Turner in A Chorus Line. She has a passion for dancing and theater and would like to thank her parents and her drama coach Joshua Long for the great support they have given her. |

Ann Shakespeare (Robin/Castle Player)
Anne Shakespeare is from Vernal, Utah. She is a junior in Acting at BYU. Some recent roles include Iphigenea in Prometheus Unbound (Experimental Theatre Club), William's third wife in Diantha's Crossing (LDS Motion Picture Studio), and the cook in The Seagull (BYU). |

Gabe Spencer (Simple/Castle Player)
Gabriel G. Spencer is currently a senior at Hillcrest High School.
Some of his most favorite acting experiences include Orlando in As You
Like It, Juano in West Side Story, Henry in Damn Yankees, Lumiere in
Disney's Beauty & the Beast, Pippin in Pippin, Mark in a revue of
Rent, and Biff in a revue of Death of a Salesman. He also played the
part of Messala in last year's ARTE play Julius Caesar. Gabriel hopes
to find a way to both inspire and enlighten the world through the
amazing gift of theatre. |

Josh Stevens (Sir Hugh Evans)
Josh is a local actor who has done several musicals plus a few straight plays. He is a bass so his choice of roles is limited, but he has been able to perform as Maurice in Beauty and the Beast, the Major-General in Pirates of Penzance and Marcellus Washburn in The Music Man. This is his first play done by the Bard so he is nervous and excited by it. |

Shaunna Thompson (Mistress Ford)
Shaunna Thompson loves all aspects of the arts, but feels that Shakespeare is good therapy. Hence, why she's here! Part time on the stage and part time in front of the camera, she can be seen in numerous commercials, films, and pretty funky infomercials. She is currently the host of KBYU's Road to Zion: Travels in Church History. Her favorite stage roles include Rebekah in Rags, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Grace Farrell in Annie, and Anita in West Side Story. She sends hugs and kisses to her family who, basically, puts up with her. |

Jakob Tice (Shallow)
Hailing from Middletown, DE, Jakob is a Certified Actor/Combatant in the Society of American Fight Directors and a graduate of Brigham Young University's theatre program. Recent productions that portrayed his
acting and fighting abilities include The Pirates of Penzance, Holes, and Macbeth. During the last four years as a fight choreographer, his work has also been seen in BYU's productions of Aida, Fuenteovejuna, The
Pirates of Penzance and the College of Eastern Utah's The Three Musketeers.

Becca Ingram (Stage Manager)
Becca is very glad to be working and learning at the castle this summer. A sophomore at BYU this year, she looks forward to continuing in the theater program there, and also returning to her "day job" as a secretary. Some of her favorite shows include: Urinetown, Guys and Dolls, Peter Pan, and Stadium of Fire. Many thanks to J, D, W, and Z.

Neal Johnson (Director)
Neal is grateful for the opportunity to direct Merry Wives this summer with such a talented cast and production staff! He has spent the last twenty years working as a Performer, Director, Choreographer, and Teacher. He has performed in, directed and/or choreographed productions of The Secret Garden, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Hello, Dolly, and Children of Eden for the SCERA, Funny Girl for Sundance Theatre, The Fantasticks and Hula-Hoop Sha-Boop for Provo Theater Company, Sweeney Todd for the Actors' Repertory Theatre Ensemble, Joseph and Guys and Dolls for Highland /American Fork Arts Councils, Joseph..., Lucky Stiff, The Christmas Carol, and The Scarlet Pimpernel for Hale Center Theater-Orem, and The Music Man for Lehi Arts Council. He has traveled the world with Norwegian Cruise Lines, Opryland U.S.A., The BYU s Young Ambassadors, and the National Premiere of The Drummings. His work has been showcased at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, the Utah Thespian Conference, and was nominated to represent the state of California in Washington D.C. He currently teaches at American Fork High School where he won "Teacher of the Year" for the state of Utah and was named in Who's Who Among America's Teachers (2004-2008). He would like to thank his beautiful wife, Korianne, their two delightful children, Kaleb and Reagan, all of the cast and crew for making tonight's performance possible, and the ARTE for another summer of theatre that entertains and enlivens. Nick Stone (Production Manager)
Nick is a senior studying Media Arts at BYU. He enjoys filling his time with both film and the theatre. Recent productions include: The Nutcracker, Legend of Timpanogos, Homecoming Spectacular, and Julius Caesar along with other small student film and theater projects. School takes up most of Nick's time, but he does enjoy getting away for short random adventures up the canyon or to other various places. Enjoy the setting and enjoy the show!
